FREE and LIVE Music, are there any better words to hear in the same sentence in this economy. The West End Association’s merchant members have joined together to bring back FREE concerts to the streets of the West End


The concerts will take place Friday nights September through October 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm. Bands range from alternative country to indie rock to blues and a wide range of cover and party bands.


Bring a chair or sit on one of the restaurant patio’s, there are no bad seats, only good music and a fun energetic Friday night.

Get your cowboy boots on and Honkey Tonk!

Billy Bobs Texas, home of the world’s largest honkey tonk in Fort Worth, offers free line dance lessons every Thursday at 7 p.m. Admission on Thursday is reduced until 8 p.m. Try something different and new!

Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs is presenting the second annual Free Night of Theater from Oct. 8 – Nov. 8. Free Night of Theater offers new theatergoers nearly 3,000 free tickets over 25 local live theatre and performing arts organizations. Angelika Film Center’s outdoor pavilion in Mockingbird Station will be showing free screening of Alfred Hitchcock movies every Thursday at 8pm for the month of October

Thursday Event- Bishop Arts' First Thursday

Weekend Report- Saturday Galleria Event

Well, if you have shopping to do and must spend money, then get the most out of your shipping experience by heading over to the Galleria for the CANstruction Event on Saturday.

With only 12 hours to work, CANstruction teams get to turn their favorite non-perishables into whatever their hearts desire (last year was a giant roller skate) all to benefit the North Texas Food Bank. Stop by the Galleria Saturday and watch as the teams construct their masterpieces all day long.

Their creations will be judged in a variety of categories in the afternoon, and the CANstructions will be on display for people's choice voting through October 18.
