Free Event - Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month 2009

The Fort Worth Library will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month September 15 through October 15. This year’s celebration will feature many activities for both adults and children, including: A Fort Worth Guitar Guild concert; a Mexican crafts class; an “Ugly Betty” Poncho Party; The Dora Adventure Show and a re-enactment of a traditional Mayan ball game.
Ballet Folklórico Azteca
Folk dancers from varying regions bring to life the spirit and culture of Mexico’s rich, heritage with a fun, educational show.

Fort Worth Guitar Guild
Professional guitar players Isaac Bustos and Mitch Weverka will perform a selection of music from Hispanic composers, including Albeniz, Granados, Falla and Piazzolla
Central Library, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, Tandy Lecture Hall
