Free Makeup, Vitamins and such at CVS

I often read another blog (Penny Pincher) and post info from her blog into mine. This blog is actually really good and I must say I will try her shopping ideas this week. Take a try!

I headed to CVS to score some freebies, but ended up walking away with a different deal entirely!
The Ester-C vitamins were priced at $10.79 at my CVS, so that threw off my math fromthis post. But I went ahead and bought 2 as a completely separate transaction & landed them both for FREE, using my $5 off $20 coupon (which did NOT beep even though it expired on 1/23!)
A Few Other Finds...
I remembered the $3 Physicians Formula coupon from this past week (1/24 SS) and I lucked out by finding TONS of 75% off clearance items in the make-up aisle. That meant a lot of FREE make-up (15 items to be exact!). My nieces love to play with make-up so this stash I am dedicating to them entirely. They will be thrilled!
I also picked up  (2) Johnson & Johnson's Baby Wash for 49¢ each (after $2 coupon and $2 ECB). My CVS was completely out of the bonus pack so I purchased the $4.49 ones from the regular baby section & still qualified for the $2 ECB's!
I also stumbled across some Loreal Everpure hair treatment clearanced to 89¢/each. I used 2- $2 coupons from 1/10 RP insert to score each of them for FREE. These were located in a clearance cart at the front of my store - they were not priced so I scanned them. They were regularly $8.99 so the mark-down was 90%!
Don't forget to use your $1/1 Scotch Lint Roller coupon from the 1/24 SS at CVS. Trial sized rollers are 99¢ so you can score them for FREE!
My CVS was completely out of the Honey Nut Cheerios bonus packs, so those will have to wait until my next visit!
Overall, I did 4 transactions (Shout out to my favorite CVS cashier - Rick!) and paid:
Transaction #1 -  $0
Transaction #2 - 50¢
Transaction #3 - 15¢
Transaction #4 - 10¢

Total OOP: 75¢

Oh...and I scored 2- $2 ECB's for the Johnson's, making this whole shopping trip a $3.25 Money-Maker!

The candy bars & caramels were fillers as I actually had overage in 2 of my transactions. My hubby will love the Turles and I have a secret obession with those caramels. Have you tried them? OMG! So yummy!

Free chick-fil-a

This morning I went to Chick-fil-a and got 2 free meals (coupons) for simply filling out a survey about Chick-fil-a. I went to 7850 North Macarthur Boulevard, Irving. No joke! It only took 5-10mins to fill out and since I absolutely love chick-fil-a it was easier for me.

He Sees You

William Betts' "I-10 and Los Mochis, El Paso, TX"
Do you ever get the feeling you're being watched? Do you want to? Because Surveillance, the exhibition opening this week by painter William Betts, is going to make it hard to go anywhere near a shopping mall, bank, truck stop or hotel room (really) without wondering what you look like on camera at that very instant. For years, Betts has been collecting surveillance video footage, picking out the frames that interested him most, and recreating the images with an elaborate digital system to apply droplets of paint individually. They're still paintings, but they take on the pixelated, automated look of the original video--right down to the time code in the corner. It's a lot like breaking into that unmarked security booth down the hall, but with better lighting. Surveillance hangs until February 13 at Holly Johnson Gallery, 1411 Dragon St., open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit hollyjohnsongallery.com for more info.
